Independence Day II A day to celebrate freedom II Tryst with Destiny

Commemorating all our freedom fighters of India, here I'm sharing some important facts of the Independence day of India. In the year 1757 the East India Company won the Battle of Plassey and  ruled over India for 100 years. After that, in 18th century British Crown invaded India by their large force of warrior and they started their sovereignty all over India as the Government of India Act 1856 gave them the power to rule over India. The unbearable torture of British led our Indians to fight for freedom. Father of our Nation Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi had started nationwide non-violent movement of non-cooperation and civil disobedience and National Congress won several elections. Political tensions also increased rapidly due to World War II and Muslim Nationalism at that time. Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, Bhagat Singh, Rani LaksmiBai, Tatya Tope, Khudiram Bose and many more sacrificed their life to make our India free from British Rule. We are living peacefully in India only because of our freedom fighter's utmost sacrifices. The British rule came to an end after the greatest struggle of our freedom fighters on the midnight of 15th August, 1947. The tricolor flag was hoisted at Lahore Gate of Red Fort in Delhi by first prime minister of independent India, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru and gave his speech on "Tryst with Destiny". From that time this occurrence is followed by our succeeding Prime Ministers of India. And 21 Gun Salute is given to celebrate freedom. March past, parades and many cultural events are organised on this day. National Anthem "Jana Gana Mana" is sung after hoisting the tricolor flag. This year we are celebrating the 73rd Independence Day of India.
India is a harmonious country as people of any race, any religion, any color, any sex, any caste can live here peacefully. The tricolor flag describes the characteristics of India. The top band is of safforn color, signifies the stability and bravery of India. The middle band is of white color, signifies the serenity and honesty of India. And a Dharma Chakra with 24 spokes is placed in the middle of this middle band. And the last band is of green color which signifies the promising growth and fertility of India.
Spread the happiness of freedom to each and every people of our country. Accept a girl child as the same way you accept a boy child. Don't make difference between a girl and a boy. Girls are as strong as a boy if you let them to flourish in her own way. Abolish discrimication  in any aspect to make a better India.

We are proud to be an Indian.
